The framing between walk-in closet and master bathroom has been updated to create the space for the doorway.

The trim has been ripped off our old bedroom closets and the doorways framed to take the new wall.  This space will be accessed from Ethan’s

The wall against which the toilet will stand has now been framed, and battens added to the other walls.

The plumbing for hot and cold water is beautifully colour-coded using PEX (cross-linked polyethylene) instead of traditional copper.

The latest deluge has reminded us why we need a French drain!

Some of the old soil pipe, removed from the original guest bathroom.

The trenches dug into the basement floor to house the new soil pipe have been filled with sand to support it.  

This rather dodgy-looking wiring was in what will be the new powder room.
