I-beams make for a convenient temporary resting place.

The soil pipe from the old powder room is finally gone.  It had had to remain in place until a new pipe could reroute the waste

A soil pipe for the 2nd and 3rd floor bathrooms is being installed along a new route to allow for removal of the existing one –

A plywood floor has been down in the kitchen for some time, but the corner where the chimney was removed had been left unfinished.  No longer! 

The guys have the kitchen plan nailed up for easy reference.  Always a good idea!

There is now a floor down in Ethan’s hidey-hole, and he’s quick to sweep up, and try it out!  

Battens have been affixed to the kitchen walls, ready for sheetrock.

The window has been removed and space carved out for the door which will give us access to the balcony.  It’s been boarded up for the

The stairs are in, and we no longer need to use the ladder to explore what’s happening in the basement.  Exciting! Here is a view looking

Here, the guys are cutting triangles into a straight plank to make the stringers onto which the treads and risers will be fixed.
