Taking down the chimney took much more time than expected, as it had been filled with concrete. The guys were up this crane for over a week!
The rubble filled several skips, but the chimney is finally gone – all the way to ground level:
Here’s a view from the master bedroom as the wall is first breached, then with the chimney finally removed. The blue is the tarpaulin keeping out the rain until the roof is restored.
